Full-Time Podiatrist

Job Description
We are looking for an podiatrist to join our enthusiastic and highly motivated department. This will be a permanent post of 37.5 hrs a week.
You will be required to travel to a variety of clinics as necessary in the Torbay and the South Devon area. This role involves a varied workload in a variety of 17 locations. The successful applicant will be required to work in both single and multi chair clinics and to assist our home visiting service within South Devon area by providing treatments and intervention in clients own homes. The applicant will need to have good range of assessment and treatment skills from musculoskeletal conditions to wound management and treatment planning commensurate with high risk caseload. Understanding of delegation and accountability and working closely with variety of clinical and non clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the management and treatment of a caseload of high risk patients, providing a comprehensive assessment of podiatric need, relevant health education and referral to other health care professionals as required.
To be committed to undertake continued personal development and provide evidenced based practice and clinical rotation.
To work within own scope of practice.
To work with and deliver supervision and mentoring of Plymouth University Podiatry students.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
Health Professional Council Registered podiatrist
Degree/diploma in podiatry
Member of the society of Chiropodist and Podiatrist recommended
Good communication and interpersonal skills
IT skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Full valid driving license
